Learning at Work Week is an annual event in May organised by the Campaign for Learning since 1999. It aims to put a spotlight on the importance and benefits of learning and development at work.

Learning at Work Week 2017 takes place from 15th-21st May, with the theme being ‘Curious & Creative’.

Employers can use the opportunity to reinforce their commitment to staff development and to celebrate the learning that takes place all year round. It’s a great way to remind staff that there is always a place for learning, wherever you may be in your career.

Employers who support learning will reap the benefits in a number of ways:

  • Staff who are encouraged to do further training and learning tend to be more enthusiastic and committed in their roles.
  • Investing in staff training and learning helps build loyalty and retain staff.
  • Employers who are constantly learning will bring new skills and experience to the workplace, benefitting the company as a whole.
